Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border,
sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower
range of snowy peaks to the south. The valley is dominated by Langtang Lirung
(7246 m) at the north, Gang Chenpo (6388 m) to the south and Dorje Lakpa
(6975 m)
to the east. A visit to Langtang Valley offers an opportunity to explore
villages and monasteries as well as to visit glaciers at the head of the valley.
